Other synthetic routes have been described which use 6-formyl-7-hydroxy-5-methoxycoumarin-7-O-acetic acid, ... the methyl ester of 2,6-dioxy-4-methoxybenzoic acid ... and 5-allyloxy-7-hydroxycoumarin ... as precursors.
