How selling works
From sign up to your first quote, usually in one sitting.
Step 1. Create or claim your profile
Register as a supplier and confirm your email with a one-time code. If your company is already listed, claim that profile with your official company email instead. Our team verifies every claim.
Step 2. Add your products
List up to 25 products free with grade, purity, pack sizes and documents. Paid plans add more listings and bulk upload.
Step 3. Get verified
Add your tax or registry number and upload licences. Badges appear on your page, products and quotes once checked.
Step 4. Answer buyers
Reply to inquiries from your inbox and quote on matching buy leads. Buyers see your offer next to the chemical they need.

How we order suppliers on chemical pages, in supplier lists and in search, so you know what improves your position.
What the organic order is based on
Each supplier gets a score from these seven parts. Only suppliers that list a chemical appear on its page, and among them the score sets the order.
- Your plan's ranking weight30%Free counts 1x, Verified 2x, Gold 4x and Platinum 6x, as a share of the highest weight. A paid plan counts while it runs and through the grace period after it ends.
- Your verification level20%Verified business counts 1 of 3, documents checked 2 of 3 and audited 3 of 3. An audit counts for 12 months.
- How often you reply to buyers15%The share of inquiries, quote requests and sample requests of the last 90 days that got a reply (a request counts after a day, or sooner once answered). With fewer than 3 requests in that time it counts as half.
- How fast you reply10%The median time to the first reply over the same days. Within 4 hours counts in full, within 12 hours 80%, within a day 60%, within 3 days 30%, slower or no reply 10%. Without enough requests it counts as half.
- How complete your listings and profile are10%The listing quality score (grade, purity, packs and prices, documents, photos, description). In supplier lists the company profile and its listings together.
- How recently you updated prices and listings10%When the price or the listing was last updated. Within 30 days counts in full, within 90 days 70%, within 180 days 40%, older 20%. In supplier lists the newest listing counts.
- Ratings from buyers who ordered from you5%The average of published reviews out of 5. Without reviews it counts as half.
Plan weights: Free 1x, Verified 2x, Gold 4x, Platinum 6x. On a chemical page each supplier is placed by its best listing of that chemical, in supplier lists by its company profile and all its listings. In search, how well a result matches your words comes first and this score orders results that match equally well. Unclaimed profiles score only on the Free plan weight and completeness, so claiming your profile helps.
Sponsored positions are always labelled
At most three TopRank positions sit above the organic list of a chemical, each marked Sponsored. Paying never hides other suppliers or changes reviews, and a sponsored listing whose price or details are out of date is not shown.

Your company may already be listed
Some company pages are marked Unclaimed profile because the company does not manage them yet. Claim yours free with your official company email. Our team verifies the claim and emails you when the profile is active, then you can edit it, add products and answer buyers yourself.

What new suppliers usually ask before they list.
How do I start selling on CompoundList?
Register as a supplier, verify your email with the code we send, add your company details and list your first products. Free accounts can list up to 25 products and receive direct inquiries from buyers.
My company already has a profile. How do I claim it?
Only an authorised person at the company can claim it. Register free, then find your company on the claim page and claim it with your official business email address on your company's own website domain. Our team verifies every claim and activates the profile, and you get the result by email. Claims are not approved instantly. We usually reply within two working days.
Can I upload my whole catalogue at once?
Yes, on the Verified, Gold and Platinum plans. Download the template, fill in your products with CAS numbers, grades and packing, and upload the Excel or CSV file. We match each row to a chemical and flag rows that need your attention before they go live.
What are buy leads and how do lead credits work?
Buy leads are requests for quote posted by buyers. Every supplier can see a summary of each lead, such as the product, quantity and destination country. Unlocking a lead to respond uses one lead credit. Paid plans include a set number of unlocks every month, and credit packs are available for extra leads.
How is the order of suppliers on a chemical page decided?
Organic positions use a documented score: your plan's ranking weight (Free 1x, Verified 2x, Gold 4x, Platinum 6x), verification level, response rate and speed, listing completeness, how recently you updated prices and listings, and buyer ratings. The weights are published on the Sell on CompoundList page. In search, relevance to the words comes first. Up to three sponsored TopRank positions are shown separately above the organic list, always labelled Sponsored, and a sponsored listing that is out of date is not shown.
Which products are not allowed on CompoundList?
Narcotics, psychotropic substances, scheduled chemical weapons precursors, explosives and other controlled items are blocked. Some regulated chemicals can be listed only after document checks. The controlled substances policy explains the rules in full.
Can I add documents such as COA, TDS and SDS to my products?
Yes. Verified members can attach one document per product and Gold and Platinum members can attach as many as they need. Buyers download them from your product pages.
Can several people from my company use the same account?
Yes. Invite colleagues from the Team page in your supplier dashboard. The number of team seats depends on your plan, from one seat on Free up to 25 seats on Platinum.
How do I get the Verified badge?
Choose a paid plan and complete verification. We check your company registration or tax ID against the official register and confirm that the person applying works for the company. The badge shows the date of the last check.
