Under DAP the seller delivers when the goods are placed at the buyer's disposal on the arriving vehicle at the named place, ready for unloading. The seller carries the transport risk all the way. The buyer unloads and handles import clearance, duties and taxes.
DAP is common when a supplier wants to quote a delivered price without becoming responsible for the buyer's import formalities.
