ISO tank
Definition
A stainless steel tank in a standard 20 foot container frame, used to ship bulk liquids and gases.
ISO tank containers usually hold somewhere around 20,000 to 26,000 litres of liquid, depending on the design and the product's density. They are used for solvents, acids, food liquids and liquefied gases, and must be cleaned and certified between loads of different products.
For large regular volumes, ISO tanks cut packaging cost and waste compared with drums or IBCs, but the buyer needs suitable storage and unloading facilities.
