GHS07 exclamation mark
Definition
Pictogram for less severe health hazards such as irritation, skin sensitisation and harmful acute toxicity.
GHS07 (exclamation mark) is one of the nine GHS hazard pictograms, a black symbol on a white diamond with a red border.
Used for: acute toxicity category 4, skin irritation, eye irritation, skin sensitisation, specific target organ toxicity after single exposure category 3 (respiratory irritation or drowsiness), and hazards to the ozone layer where that class is applied.
It is the most common pictogram on everyday chemicals. Precedence rules mean it is dropped when skull and crossbones, corrosion or health hazard already cover the same effect.
