SCOMET
Definition
India's export control list of Special Chemicals, Organisms, Materials, Equipment and Technologies.
The SCOMET list is part of India's export policy administered by the DGFT. Category 1 covers toxic chemical agents and other chemicals, aligned with the Chemical Weapons Convention schedules and the Australia Group lists. Exporting a listed item needs an authorisation before shipment, and some items are prohibited.
Exporters should check every chemical against the current SCOMET list, including mixtures that contain listed chemicals above set limits.
