About initiators, curing agents and crosslinkers
This group covers chemicals that start, control or complete polymerisation and curing. It includes organic peroxides such as benzoyl peroxide, MEK peroxide, dicumyl peroxide and peroxyesters, azo initiators such as AIBN, persulfates for emulsion polymerisation, photoinitiators for UV curing, epoxy hardeners such as amines, polyamides and anhydrides, polyurethane crosslinkers and catalysts, and crosslinkers such as triallyl isocyanurate and multifunctional acrylates.

The right initiator depends on the temperature and the half-life needed, while the curing agent defines the final properties of thermosets such as epoxies and polyurethanes. Photoinitiators are chosen to match the wavelength of the UV or LED lamp used.
Organic peroxides are unstable and can decompose violently if heated, so they are classified by type for transport and many need temperature control. Ask for the active oxygen or assay, the self-accelerating decomposition temperature, the recommended storage temperature, the phlegmatiser or diluent, and the form (powder, paste, liquid or emulsion). For amine hardeners, ask for amine value, viscosity and colour.
