Insecticides and acaricides

Insecticides are used in field crops, horticulture, stored grain, public health vector control, veterinary products and household pest control. Many pyrethroids are mixtures of isomers, and the active isomer ratio defines the product, so lambda-cyhalothrin and gamma-cyhalothrin are not interchangeable. Fermentation-derived actives such as abamectin are sold on the basis of their B1a and B1b content.

Specify the technical purity, isomer ratio where relevant, relevant impurities, water and acidity. Regulation is moving quickly. Several neonicotinoids are restricted for outdoor use in the EU, chlorpyrifos has been withdrawn in many markets, and some older organophosphates are listed under international conventions. Check the status of each active in your market before buying. Formulated insecticides fall under HS subheading 3808.91.
