Nucleosides and nucleotides

Molecular biology uses nucleotides in PCR, sequencing and RNA synthesis, and the rise of mRNA medicines created strong demand for GMP grade nucleoside triphosphates and modified nucleosides. Nucleosides are also starting materials for antiviral and anticancer drugs, and nucleotides are added to infant formula and used as food flavour enhancers.

Ask for purity by HPLC, the salt form and counter ion, concentration for solutions, water, and for molecular biology grades the absence of nucleases. GMP grades for mRNA production need extensive documentation, endotoxin limits and supply security agreements. Phosphoramidites are moisture sensitive and are shipped and stored under dry conditions.
